Kenya is at an important point in its history. It is a point where the country is setting the stage to aggressively position itself as a global player in business, education and leisure with a view to the increased prosperity of its people. The country is also positioning itself to be a true global leader in order that the people of this East African region are better placed to compete on a global scale.
It has to be recognized that a transformation strategy in a global context is no mean feat. In such a strategy, we have to study the metrices that are examined globally to rank the best destinations for ICT investment and business as well as the metrics that indicate the countries that best use ICT in their peoples’ lives, education and development.
Transformation is not a casual exersize. We must think widely, deeply and create partnerships with players outside our marketplace to achieve it.
